Extracurricular Activities Secendary Section, United School

The school has given high importance to extra curricular activities (ECA). ECA classes are run in two different ways in the school.

1. Club Activities:

The school has more than 13 ECA clubs. Not superficially but systematically and intensively we train our students in different arts and skills in these clubs.

    A. Sports

Cricket, Table tennis, Basketball, Football, Take wan do, Jeet Kune Do and Martial Arts

    B. Creative

Dance, Drama, Rhythm (Tabla, Congo), Violin, Guitar, Keyboard, Pottery, Vocal, Arts & Craft.

Students from class 1 and above can choose 2 clubs, one each from groups A and B. Every Sunday we run these club activities by proven professional trainers in the respective fields.

2. House Activities

Students from classes 1 and above are divided in 4 different houses. Various competitions are organized every Sunday among these four houses.

They are: Quiz contest, Speech, Debate, Poetry, Essay writing, Handwriting, Wall magazine publication etc.

3. Reaching Out Programs

With our Reaching Out Programs such as SQC, Scouts, Red Cross and Interact club, we provide our students the opportunities for developing leadership, teamwork and social growth.

EXCURSIONS

United School believes that the students can learn more by visiting the real places than by studying about them through books. Excursions are organized for students to visit places of archaeological, historical, geographical, developmental etc. importance in and around Kathmandu. The students of higher classes are also taken on a trip to different districts and zones of the country.

MEDIATION
United School believes mediation is the power of total inner and outer development and helps students to develop the habits of balance and concentration. Meditation classes are held for students of primary and secondary sections.
