Curriculum

United School, an English Medium co-education school, offers an – English language environment except for the class in Nepali Subject.

The school uses the 'National Curriculum' approved by the HMG(N) in its Secondary Section (Class V – X). This is done particularly, to prepare students for the District Level Exam of class: 8 and S.L.C. Board Examination. However, in addition to the ones prescribed, the school uses adequate supplementary books and materials to accomplish the objectives of the curriculum as maximum as possible.

EVALUATION SCHEME

From class V onwards the academic year is divided into three terms. There will be three Terminal Examinations and frequent class assessment.

Promotion to the next class

Where there is Term Examination System promotion to the next class depends on the marks obtained in the term exams. The First and Second Term Examinations contribute 10% and 30% respectively, and the Third Term Examination contributes 60% to the total of 100% of the final result. To be promoted to the next class, the students must attain at least 50% in aggregate in each subject. The decision of the Principal will be final in regard to promotion.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS
    • Awards and citations are given to the outstanding students at the end of academic year (on Parents Day)
    • Students securing the first position in the class in the final evaluation are eligible for the Best Students Scholarship. They do not have to pay monthly tuition for the whole of the next academic session.
    • Students, who are internationally recognized in any extra-curricular activity also get scholarships.
